J.A. Rice, Inc. has provided land surveying services to the Maryland Aviation Administration at Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport and Martin State Airport since 1991 as both a sub-consultant and as a consultant. This includes the BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport Pier A Expansion.
As part of the General Engineering Consultant team (GEC), J.A. Rice, Inc.’s (JAR) scope included Quality Assurance surveys and survey control for machine control, stakeout, bridge structures, culverts, subgrades, and paving. JAR also performed topographic map preparation as well as field run topography and survey control for many of the ICC Wetland and Reforestation Mitigation projects.
J. A. Rice, Inc. has worked on numerous regional environmental projects, including the Gwynns Falls Stormwater Pond Retrofits. JAR performed topographic surveying services related to restoring Ponds 26, 27, 33, 47, and 110.
J.A. Rice, Inc. prepared survey documents to assist in transferring a portion of Newgate Avenue from Baltimore City to the Maryland Port Administration (MPA), a portion of Newgate Avenue from Baltimore City to the Maryland Transportation Authority (MdTA), and a portion of Vail Street from Baltimore City to the MdTA.
J. A. Rice, Inc. has provided land surveying services to the Maryland Transportation Authority as a sub-consultant for bridge monitoring at the Governor Harry W. Nice Bridge.
J. A. Rice, Inc. has provided a bathymetric survey of part of the Masonville Marine Terminal in Baltimore, Maryland.
