Malcolm R. Archer-Shee, LS

Mr. Archer-Shee has over 36 years of land surveying experience in Maryland and was formerly the Assistant Division Chief of the CADD, Mapping and Control Unit of the Plats and Surveys Division of the Maryland State Highway Administration (MDOT). In addition, he was SHA’s District One Survey Chief for 12 years and has performed numerous types of highway surveying projects. Since 1983, he has personally conducted and managed numerous geodetic control projects for SHA. These include geodetic control mark setting and maintenance, astronomic azimuths, traversing, triangulation, geodetic leveling, processing, bluebooking and submittal. He has recently developed several computer programs currently in use by the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) and has conducted several description and level processing workshops for NGS, the Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Alabama, New York and Michigan Departments of Transportation, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Mr. Archer-Shee graduated from the certificate program of Penn Foster College for Surveying and Mapping and Visual Basic Programming. He holds a TWIC Card and a current BWI airport clearance badge.
